These are the local hospitals if you are having a medical emergency or require urgent care when our offices and After Hours Clinic are closed:

The KGH Emergency department is open 24 hours a  day, 7 days a week and is directed at patients with serious medical emergencies such as:

• Chest pain or pressure
• Broken bones
• Severe bleeding
• Trauma or injury to the head
• Difficulty breathing
• Sudden dizziness or trouble seeing
• Severe abdominal pain

The Emergency Department of the Lennox & Addington County Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Immediate medical attention is given to critical cases. For less critical cases there may be a wait before being seen.

The Urgent Care Centre is open from 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. All patients registered before 8 pm will be assessed and treated.

Urgent Care is directed at patients with a non life-threatening injury or illness such as:

• Deep cuts/wounds that may need stitches
• Fever
• Earaches
• Sore throats/coughs/colds
• Rash/Insect bites
• Eye injuries
• Abdominal pain
• Burns
• Sprains
• Diarrhea

When Hotel Dieu’s Urgent Care Centre is closed, the ER at KGH also provides urgent care.
